one thing i noticed with driving a diesel truck, price dont just jump .15 over night. i paid 3.99/gal for 7 weeks straight while i watched gas price fluctuate up and down .30

Aaron you have to find another station to buy diesel man! $3.99 is over 20 cents or more high!  One thing I have noticed with diesel is unlike  regular gasoline which usually can be found at stations within a few cents of each other diesel can fluctuate wildly between stations.  You have to find a place that sells a bunch of diesel to get a good price.  The station that just happens to have a single diesel pump will usually be much higher.

Craig, looks like you were right on the gas hike.  Same RaceTrac as yesterday at $3.31, this morn, $3.45.  Even the RaceTrac at Trouble Creek and 19 in New Port Richey (always the cheapest around) was at $3.45...

Oh well, it is what it is.  Must be the latest Somalian/Nigerian/Malian oil field bullchit or something like that...or maybe the oil company execs need a more lavish vacation this year!!

I've been out in it all day.  Strong southerly wind around 20 steady, gusting to 30+...

Now it is out of the west/southwest...and we all know the CCW flow of a low pressure system.  The wind also seems to be stronger, steadier...although a gust just a couple minutes ago almost ripped the porch door out of my hands!

Lewis, JJ, everybody in LA, AL, GA, MS, and then the Carolinas, stay safe and stay home!  At least for tonight...

4:30??!!  I'm not sure I'm gonna get out of here THAT early!

Everything is packed and ready to go.  Hopefully it will be an uneventful trip :thumright:

See you tomorrow, Scott!

Should be, Craig.  Looking west, can see the leading edge, I'd guess, around 150 miles out.  But it' creeping northward, we may not even get any rain.  But damn, that wind today!  Kind of wears you out (along with more bilge diving!   ).

Have a great time this weekend gents, take your time.  May the Aquasport Gods be with you!!

Keep in mind Scott, and Farley, should you guys need more time with the motors, by all means do it...take your time, Farley.  As Scott has told us, there is no rush on Miss D, but there is the imperative to do things right.  I'll be right here, Monday, Tuesday, whatever.  We've switched Maggie's Chemo day to Friday morns, so other than that, I'm open.

The good thing with this passing front is that typically there is a north wind post-front...WOO-HOO, tail wind!!!
