Scott, it's THIS Monday!!

Just was out in the shop...at 10:00 at night...still in shorts and a t-shirt.  And fear not Scotty, there are many brethren that will assist should you need assistance...but you'll be fine!  I think the State Road 44 route will be the best for you.  Although I love the drive across 50 from Orlando.  Once you get past Mascotte, nothing but the Withlacoochee State Forest...and 0 traffic!

I like the 44 route, really easy driving, a little stop and go in Deland and then smooth sailing. I thought about 50 but he has to get into downtown Orlando before we exit onto Colonial drive and head west. So I'll need your address Bob and I'll create the route, leave around daylight Monday and be there late morning. The weather should be perfect to get this project off to a good start. Hopefully it will rain like crazy by Thursday to wash this damn pine pollen off of everything! Really weird weather; all my Azaleas are in full bloom, maple trees budding out; had to cut the yard Saturday!

Personally, I'm hoping for clear skies and a good tail wind starting at 0500 Thursday!  I'm figuring a 9-10 hour drive to Scott's place.

I have Verizon for my cell carrier, and I don't think I pay roaming charges either.  But if Scott has to pay roaming charges, I'm ok with trying the radios.

You boys  are right. Checked my bill, roaming charges are a thing of the past.

Oh well, the radios are still instantaneous, and useful in other ways. Plus they make a cool chirping sound

Farley,
This is the way I would come over here from Palm Coast.

-SR 11 to SR 40
-SR 40 to SR 19
-SR 19 to SR 50 (pick up 50 in the Mascotte/Groveland area)
-SR 50 across to my house.

Piece of cake.  Yeah, you have to go through Eustis and Tavares, big deal.  But for the most part, it's just driving through nothing but forest.  My address?  13098 Sun Rd., Brooksville, 34613

Craig,
Citrus county is one of the highest around.  I got 87 10% ethanol at the Racetrack on 50 by 19 this morn, around 11:30...$3.31/gal...

Agreed.  We usually fill up when we are in your neck of the woods.  Last night it was $3.34 a gallon.  Sometime between then and this afternoon it jumped up.

When I was at Proline, I never got gas in Citrus.  I'll report back tomorrow on the gas prices here.  Going to the Worst in Holiday tomorrow morn, Pasco is even cheaper than us.  Will report...
