Craig, are you coming across I-10 and picking up 301?

That's the plan Bob.  I'll take 19 up to 121, pass through G-ville, and pick up 301 in Waldo.  Then up to I-10 to 95 in Jacksonville.  Visa-versa for the return trip.  Ran this route a few times for trips back to the homeland (NJ), but haven't done so in at least 4 or 5 years.  I assume Waldo and Stark are still speed traps....

You ALWAYS have to assume that!!!  Scott, here's the post we were talking about this eve...

Late to chime in here, but the panels Eugene uses are made by Innovative Products of Florida (I used to be an employee there). The panels are simply 1/4" clear cast acrylic, one side of masking is peeled, and they are sent off to screen printing to receive a grey carbon fiber print, leaving clear dots in the weaving. We then sprayed the carbon fiber print with whatever color the customer wanted (mostly the typical grey and black with a little gold flake). Kevin (the owner) then writes a program to whatever your exact specs are that you like (size, type of switch, placement of lettering, personal names, etc) and sends the oversized piece of cut acrylic to the HAAS CNC machines to be completely cut/engraved. Then the frontside gets a 1/16" radius and the backside is covered with a white vinyl and edges are flame polished.

And there ya go! Call them at 727-525-9673 if you want to get an idea of a quote, Kevin is a great guy. But beware turnaround time can be kind of extensive.

Once we have the switch functions settled upon, I'll give him a call and set up a meet.  Carling Contura switches and Carling push-button breakers, shouldn't be a hard deal to fab...

Was telling Scott we're due for a front on Wednesday, only 50% chance of rain here in the TB area, but temp will drop after it passes through, only to pick back up come the weekend.  He'll be over in Palm Coast at Farleys, probably see high 60s/low upper 40s after the front, then by the weekend mid 70s/mid 50s...PERFECT timing!!!

Sounds like a plan right there, all the way around :thumright:

Went to Radio Shack and bought 2 Motorola FRS walkie-talkies for 19.95. Ten mile range (they say). Not using cell phones will save us that much easily in roaming charges. Plus...it's instantaneous.

Yep Craig, steamed. They'll be just for appetizers. Gonna fix some fried CH....just kiddin' :flower:

Captain Bob...that back of the hand test makes plenty of sense. Thanks!

Hey buddy, i know your really excited now.

I've traveled theses FL roads for quite some time and If you need anything along the way feel free to give me a call.  I know good ol Farl will be with you, but if you get in a pinch I'd be more than happy to lend a hand, you know my number.

Scott, it's THIS Monday!!

Just was out in the shop...at 10:00 at night...still in shorts and a t-shirt.  And fear not Scotty, there are many brethren that will assist should you need assistance...but you'll be fine!  I think the State Road 44 route will be the best for you.  Although I love the drive across 50 from Orlando.  Once you get past Mascotte, nothing but the Withlacoochee State Forest...and 0 traffic!
