Take a look at these speakers as well - they sound pretty good!

Good stuff CJ, THANKS!

Like the idea of the boxes for a few reasons. Need to go take a width measurement of the gunnel midships, see what kind of room we have to work with. Would like for them to be as hidden as possible.

Like the subwoofer idea too :thumright:

Scotty.
When you get here; I'll show you what I did on the flats boat. Completely concealed speakers but the sound fills the cockpit up nicely. The boat has recessed pocket rod boxes under the 12" wide gunnel cap and I mounted them there. I've never been a big fan of seeing speakers in a boat. I don't want to see them in my trucks either. Fine maybe in a 20 something Ski Nautique loaded with young-uns.

Hey Scott, did you ever get a new one of these? With the twins on there now it could be interesting towing her.

Are you going to gunnel strap her down?

Hey Lew!

Moved her up on the trailer, have about 4 inches of bunk hanging off the back now. Checked the tongue weight, its perfect.

Gonna transom strap her.

Hey, got a question....can I borrow your new truck?

Hate to rub it in boys (no I don't!), but today is what you would call a "chamber of commerce" day!!  Sitting right around 72, clear as a bell, and no wind...well, maybe a 5 mph breeze...

Eat your hearts out!!!    And, of course, I'm in shorts and a t-shirt...

Lew, thanks for the gracious offer

Hey, okay if I bring my friend Kate Upton and we ride in the back and watch movies?

When we get there she can wash your truck.

Thanks :salut:

Looking at the 178 today, you realize it's only 474 miles from your house to mine via the "crow flight"?

To bad crow's can't bring boats...

And it truly was an awesome day today!  You guys suffering any ice storms or nasty chit?

80 miles NW....ice...many cars in the ditches on I 40.

I believe that!  When I was at Hydra-Sports in Columbia, we had about 6" of snow fall right about 0500 to 0700 one morning.  The average accident rate in the Richmond/Lexington county metro area was around 25 accidents per morn.  That morn?  365...

Lew has recommended that we pick up for the trip a handheld digital thermometer or two. The ones at HF were 40 bucks, so thanks for the links Lew.

Sure would be nice to step out of the truck and immediately and accurately check the temp on the bearings and tires.  Also great for use around the house.

Thanks Lew.

Getting ready, gearing up.
