Well Scott and I had our usual lively chat this afternoon (Maggie and her daughter went shopping /lunch, great day!), basically here's the plan.  If Scott's rigger can give him a definitive date of completion, can tell him no Onslow Bay is going to come in and force the date out, no "other customer" is going to come in and force the date out, then he'll stick with his guy.

If that's a no go, then, this is the plan.  I'll bop on over to Sanford, pick up one of those dirt cheap flights to Wilmington, spend a few hours with Scott on lay-out, equipment, suggestions, general, BS, come back home.  Then, after Christmas, either Aaron and myself, or Bruce, Scott D, even Fernando (will a Chevy pull Miss D? ) will make the trip up to snag Miss D and drag her back down here to Weeki Wachee.  Hell, now that I think of it, Roadaspirin would be the man for the job!  Bruce, I need to call him...

When she is done (2 weeks), Scotty can drive down here to pick her up, plan for a couple days, and get to know the Tampa crowd.  It would be the middle of play-off season, can't beat that!

So we shall see come Monday...

There you go Scotty!  We have the ways and means to get the girl done!  Since Aaron has Mondays and Tuesdays off, we can either do it all in one day (2 drivers, 1300 miles, piece of cake), or we can spend the night and drink all your libations and eat all your food!  And Carolyn might like us!  Nasty a$$ Aquanet heathens that we are!!

Ain't nothing like a clean canvas to have some fun with!  Just talk to the rigger on Monday, or at least next week Scott, get a good feel for when he says he will get her done (not when he says he SHOULD have her done).  I've got the work, but my schedule is adjustable, like we talked.  Gonna have to work up a parts list for you...

But first things first.

No results.

No report.

And neither the builder or the rigger gives a chit.

I've been working my ass off for six weeks straight, six to seven days a week, screw fun.  And screw even checking back in with those guys. As per today's retail reports....retailers got their ass kicked the last week of Christmas. Myself included. It was an effin' nightmare. You think its you. What have I done wrong? How did I fail?

Like one of my buddy's says "Just tryin' to keep my toe off the trigger."

I can't wait for this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Three whole days off...in a row. As far as I'm concerned, its winter here, cold and blowing, and my boat...given the way things have gone with that boat...and now biz ...I could give a shitt right now. Eff it.

Sorry for the rant.

The hull arrived here from Maryland November 16th, 2010. I won't get into the promises. It's still Christmas.

She is pretty though.

Maybe next Christmas we'll get at least one engine cranked...will post to YouTube.

Now Scott...

Remember, the offer is on the table to bring her down here.  Aaron, Ed, Bruce, they'll come snatch her and drag her down where she WILL get done, top quality, and in a timely manner...

Just sayin'....

Just my luck... she gets ass-ended on 95.

You guys are THE BEST, and I want you all to know how much I appreciate you going the extra mile for me.

At this point...I'm licking my wounds, trying to decompress.

I'll pick it back up, and get back in the spirit. As soon as finality is reached...we'll all know together.

Again...thanks.
