Ooooooooh Shiny!

Looks awesome! My bet is the pics don't even come close to the actual look.

So, back to the weight thing. My Z71 weighs about 5300 lbs. That trailer is probably close to 900. So simple math this thing is a lot lighter than even I guessed! One question, since the T top was in the back of the truck did yall take it out to weigh it?

Thanks guys!

Lew, that weight was the truck and trailer only. I'll post the second weight tomorrow night at 6:30

Thanks for pointing out the trailer is too short. It hasn't been titled yet, I can take it back and trade it if it can't be adjusted to our liking.

Charlie, she'll run twin '04 model 75 Merc's, hydraulic steering.

Are you still going with the Lima bean green gel on floors/casting deck?

Skoot, going with the same color that's on her now, antique white, fairly light nonskid application.

I told my wife that if something happens to me you get the boat

Bob, that's an awfully nice compliment, but its not my truck

So that throws that calculation out the window!!!!  LOL

Yeah to support the whole hull better when towing try to get the side channels of the trailer no more than 18" in front of the transom. I have towed mine well over 2000 miles now and it just rides a lot better. Up to 75 mph on I-65 and its just as stable as if you were going 50.
Look at the pic and you can see what I mean. If you exchange it out I would highly recommend putting front bunks on it and doing away with the V slide. A steep ramp you will still need rollers on the front crossmembers to keep from gouging the entry. Don't ask how I know this!

I know each person likes the boat to fit the trailer a  certain way. I like my bunks, to stick 1 inch out from the transom. I want my transom to be  supported, as good as I can get it. I’ve seen to many hooks develop in hulls, because of bunks and rollers not supporting the transom. During trailering and the hull and trailer bounces. The bottom sees to much oil canning. Just my opinion. So I agree, I think your trailer is to short and you don’t want that beauty hurt.
