Bruce,
I have 2 PFDs at the house, that's it.  We have a horn, of course, but need a throwable, flares, fire extinguisher, I have a mushroom...hey, wait  minute, this ain't my boat!!

Cut the hole, deck (cockpit sole) is 1" Nidacore, glassed on top, resin coated on the bottom.  Now that I can feel under there, yep...same sharp edge as the pic showed.  Rigging makes a 90 degree bend from the edge of the rigging tube to the pass through.

I just picked up two Sterns PFDs for the 170 since two of the ones I had looked rather "vintage" LOL  I think the were something like $9 bucks.   They had throwables too but I didn't look at the prices.  12ga flare guns were $39.  Oh don't buy a fire extinguisher in the boating section.  Walk a few isles over to the hardware section and get a marine one there for about half the price!

Ummm...let's look at the pics again.

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6763&start=90

As per the build pics shown:

The chase to which you refer allows the gas hoses to pass outboard through the inside of the starboard-side stringer, thereby joining the balance of the rigging running aft on the outboard side of the starboard stringer. Thence when all rigging is outboard of the starboard side stringer....going up through the deck, and exiting on the deck (inside the box)  at the aft corner of the starboard box at the transom.

Not sure what's going on

Scott, you want pics?  Your rigging tube (half glass whatever) is 90 degrees from the pass through up into the box!  The rigging exits the tube, then turns hard outboard to the pass through...simple as that.

I just finished pulling the starboard engine WP hose back to the helm, and even then needed the hole I cut to give my snake some help.  I'll leave the hole open so YOU can see/feel what was/is going on down there...

That should have been noted and remedied at the beginning...not at the end. We've had every opportunity over the past seven weeks to discuss that last 14 inches of rigging run...had it been noted from the start.

Gonna call it a day.

That should have been noted and remedied with your builder...not me.  They are the ones who "built" this boat, I just have to deal with their sheet...

And it was only I that tried to figure out what was going on below decks, where one doesn't have the luxury that YOUR builder had as to how is the rigging going to flow, once the deck is in place.  That was not my deal, that was YOUR builder's, as I had no say in the matter...

You know what?  I got to thinking.  You don't like to hear the truth?  You don't like me to "dis" on your boat?  Tell you what.  Come get your boat off my goddam property.  You owe me a fair chunk of change but I don't give a rat's a$$.  You want to take that attitude?  Fine.  Just get it off my property.  She'll be done and ready to go.  You have a nice place to stay.  Or somebody does, it's paid for.

I don't need this chit, and I don't care what kind of coin it costs me.  Everybody have a fun weekend, I'm outa here...

The posts will remain from the Admin position but can be removed by the individual posters.
I trust now that all involved in this "War and Peace" thread will bring it to an accelerated conclusion, amiable to all parties.
I also hope that the events over the lasts few weeks can be digested and when passed, be recognized for what they are.

Please, no more discussion. Just positive direction.

That stated, keep it civil or I will start exorcism.

So here I am working on Scott's boat about issues that have nothing to do with me, at 12 midnight, and Mr. Rhodes has the gall to no, not thank me, but to say I should have discussed rigging chase placement with him 7 weeks ago, rigging chase placement that HIS builder did...

Let me tell you what pal.  When some one is working on something of MINE at midnight, outside, by a work lamp, in regards to something that had NOTHING to do with them, I'd be happy as a pig in chit...and let them know it.  But what do I get?

I have a growing clientele, I have been slammed for the past couple years because I know what I'm doing, I tell my customers like it is, and when I tell my customers something "bad" about their boat, they listen and understand.  You see, I only built them for going on 20 years, I have a clue as to how they are put together.

Everyone know's I've busted my a$$ on this boat, have gone way above and beyond in getting her to the state that she is in right now...which is finished.  If you want to see more pics of Scott's builder's "excellent" work, I'd be happy to post them.

As of this point, an Scott said he'd take care of me, Scott has given me $5000.  Of that $5000, $4375 has been spent on parts and materials and the lodging for this Friday and Saturday.  So, all my efforts have netted me $625 for my labor the last 2 months.  Would you put up with that?  Not to mention the countless hours I have spent on the computer or on the road either finding stuff for this boat or running to West or researching or whatever.

I expect, for what I've done for Scott, to be treated a LITTLE bit better than his treatment last night, as I would expect you would also.  That was an absolute slap in the face last night, and, obviously, I wasn't too effin happy.  Don't think you would be either, kneeling down over a compartment to cut a hole in the floor so you can get at the end of a rigging tube to see WTF is going on...

When I started this thread, I had no idea it would turn into a soap opera.

Hard to believe what's going on at this point...   :puker:
