Thanks, Bryan.  Today is the longer session as she gets Zolmeta (for her bones) as well.  She's been doing pretty damn good so far, we see the doctor today...

That sucks about the panel. My laser guy here in Clearwater could have knocked that out in a day or so.

Final engine rigging today, except for hooking up the shift and throttle cables.  That will come after I install the binnacle, as we make all our adjustments at the engine end...given a properly installed binnacle.

And adapter ends on the cables?

Binnacle tomorrow...then we'll see where we stand, throttle settings and shift throws.

Was a long day today, Maggie had her "long" session of chemo where she gets the bone drug, so didn't get home til about 12:15, one of my old customers (friend of Alex, fabuck here) brought his Pathfinder up from Ruskin for some little odds and ends kinda work, and the back has been effin with me today more so than the past few days.  But we are moving right along...

Not a great day today, as the back seems to have gotten worse, not better.  Laid down for quite a while this aft after getting home from running errands, but not much better.  Sitting down, and RECOVERING from sitting down, was a beetch today, would take me about 3 minutes to be able to stand, erect, without a GOOD bit of pain.  But, once that goes away, and I'm standing...I'm fine.  Can't quite figure this one out...

So anyway, the only thing in the mail today...Aaron's trailer bunk bracket.  So, I decided, as long as I feel good standing (I can sit for like 30 seconds and the back doesn't know it), let's get that installed and be done with the trailer...

Aaron, you owe me a 6-pack.  Natty Light... :salut:  :salut:

Last night, decided that I wouldn't know if the switch "cages" would get here in time to make the Trim/Tilt panel of Scott's work...and I didn't know if the little piece of plastic would withstand enlarging the holes without crumbling in my hands...so, I made my own...

Same size as the one planned, quite a bit more sturdy, and will definitely suffice until Scott gets new panels made that are of the proper material.  Now this panel has another Aquasport brethren contribution/tie to it.  Remember Wesnapp's 200 Osprey that I re-wired?  Remember the "temporary" gauge/switch panel he had made to use until his custom panel came in?  Well, I kept that old temp panel, and it sure came in handy, as it had a big enough blank space to cut a 4 X 4 panel out of!  Thanks, Wes!!

We'll see what tomorrow has in store...

Paul, you let me know how you fix your's, and let ME know!!  This upcoming weekend...

So backlighting seems simple, but it's not.  What kind of lights?  How will they mount?  How will they secure?  So I came up with this setup.  PVC L-channel attached to the top sides of the switches with 3M 2-sided foam tape (got the good stuff, can hang 5 lbs. with it), then 2 strips of blue LEDS attached to the L-channel with the same foam tape.  Can pick up the entire switch panel by the channel, shake it, and it doesn't budge...

And the effect I want...

Think Scott will like it, and it also allows easy transferring to his new panel when he gets that fabbed.

Nice to have a "punch list", and nice to see it pared down...

Well, today...I just felt like doodoocaca.  Back was REALLY hurting, and I need to get Miss D done.  So I went to my neighbor behind us, Fred, and he has chronic back problems...and the little pills that see him though those problems.  Popped one, yes, I'm still good to go!  So, got the switch panel installed and wired, the primer bulbs complete, the forward LEDs complete, the port speaker wired, the console light done, and the trim ring around the footrest secured from the inside...

And a little video for Scott's enjoyment, Dave Burr, pay close attention at the end...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvK3W_3M ... AQ&index=1

We'll see what tomorrow brings, pain wise, but hopefully, all will be well...
