That it does, Rick, and that was Scott's intention.  But the depth of the box forward...that's what made laying out the hardware a bit of a issue.

Seriously would like to know (especially Scott's) all's opinion on how things are laid out.  Normally, I like to place the stereo above the VHF on installs where they are "stacked", as I don't like the mic cord hanging down over the face of the stereo...trivial, but it bugs me.  However, in Scott's case, realizing what he will use the most on the river and thereabouts, will be the stereo, and I wanted him to have an unobstructed view, sitting or standing.  I plan on hanging the mic off to the starboard side in the box, so the cord shouldn't be an issue.

If anyone doesn't like the layout, let me know.  I can always get another piece of black 1/2" starboard and make a new mounting face...

is this the ebox where the lid will lift up and then slide back along the top of the electronics so its out of the way?
looks sharp with the hidden fasteners.

I like it! i wouldnt think that cord would be in the way, its not blocking the screen or buttons on the radio,, and you're not going to be using them at the same time... looks clean and easy to use.

Bob, it all looks just beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing on the layout...not a thing.

That box disassembly/reassembly was a bear. Fellas it was in three pieces, and everything had to fit together just so...good on you SB, and thanks.

Frank, you did a sweet job on the starboard...like how you narrowed down the frame, looks a lot cleaner.

Gettin' ready :shaking2:

Thanks!

I think Scott's pride and joy is coming along awesome, I really do.
Scott, I am looking at flights back, most are red eye but, I am checking.
I would love to be there for this, I will do all I can to be there.
Bob, you are a real craftsman, I can see the quality in the photos.
I cant wait to see this bad boy in person.
I want to bring my Osprey back there for the event.
My wife thinks I would never come back home :).

Looks fantastic, and I bet that with the inside of the box being black the gps and other electronics will be easier to see and read :thumright:  :thumright:

Bob and Gran, thanks for the kind words and I was glad I could help out, that's a beautiful boat and I feel honored to have some of my work on her. Bob, good job installing the e-box, I've seen the inside of the console and it had to be a tight squeeze getting the screws started, good job.

Well thank you sir!  It wasn't easy, but by disassembling it (removing the plexi door, removing the back face off the black box), I was able to get at all the areas I needed to secure it.  Used a brand new cobalt bit to drill into the starboard, gives me a much better "feel" as to how deep I was going.  Pretty much took me the entire afternoon, but it came out nice...

You did a HELL of a job on that trim for the footrest!! :thumleft:  :thumleft:  :thumleft:
