Alright, split loom is gone, did my best with the 2 engine harnesses, got the trim and tilt leads routed and secured to where they're gonna tie in to the TNT panel...

The neutral safety wires you see there, they'll wait until the binnacle is in...which will be the last thing that gets installed in the console.  All leads, speaker wires, ducer cable, everything, run up to the side of the electronics box, basically waiting on the box to finish that off...

Even got the compass backlighting and the nav lights (the lone rangers on the other side of the console!) all routed and terminated...

In short, console is basically done save for the switch/breaker panel TNT switch panel.  Any word from your guy up there Scotty?

Interesting little fact.  The under gunnel speakers will be, as the crow flies, about 3' from the stereo.  The amount of speaker wire I ran?  30' for starboard, 40' for port.  Boats...

Excellent job SB, she's looking GREAT!!

This guy making the switch panel is SLOW. I've been riding him like a pogo stick.

Pressure ramps up tomorrow. You should have by Thurs.

Thanks :thumright:  :thumright:

Yep Nando, getting close.  Got to decide on the under gunnel LED lights this week, a few more parts to order (some misc. engine parts to bring them back to good as new), might go down to Frank's in Lakeland to pick up the e-box and trim ring for the footrest, the console door can come later...

Not gonna say almost to the "odds and ends" stage...but getting close!! :thumright:  :thumright:

Gary (the guy who did PL's upholstery) will be coming over Tuesday.  I'll be in touch with Plastics America midweek...

Actually, this weekend was a "car" weekend. Oil and filter changes on both, tranny fluid and filter change on the Jetta, new gear oil (Royal Purple 75W-90 synthetic, she's a 5-speed and shifts like a dream!) in the Maxima, new air filters, new valve cover gasket on the Jetta (had a real minor leak), and the Max got a Carnauba wax shine on her.  I use Turtle Wax Carnauba, it's a softer compound that's easier to apply then Mother's...and gives me the same results.  After playing with Miss D today, finished up the wax on the Maxima...looks purdy!!

I do all this stuff myself, just love the feeling that you get when the hard work you put into a vehicle shows up in the results.  The Maxima has 186K now, the Jetta 86K...and both run sweet.  Funny thing, the ramps that I use?  The same ramps that I bought back in Orlando when I had the original '87 Maxima...back in '87!!!

Well, it may not have been funny, but put a smile on my face...

Wiring's looking good Bob!   :thumleft:   I'm in Tallahassee this week - if'n I was closer, I would come down and help!  30-40 feet of speaker wire for 3 feet "as the crow flies?"  Makes you almost want to go wireless...   Glad the see my thread is back!

John,
Wireless speakers and a head unit that supports that?  A whole lot cheaper going with speaker wire and the Fusion head unit.

An interesting aspect that the "Carolina" boys didn't think about.  Guess they aren't up on Collregs or ABYC standards.  Aluminum fuel tank.  Stainless fuel fill.  NO BONDING WIRES!!!  Tab welded to the tank for the bond wire, but no wire.  That is relatively easy.  But will I be able to snake a cable or whatever to the fill to run a bond wire?  Pagan Diety's only know.  Do these people have any clue as to what is necessary to make a boat USCG/ABYC compliant? :x  :x  :x

This is from page 15. Yep I don't see a wire laying there. Fill and vent and sender and pickups right at the back. At least it looks like the fill goes through that front box on the casting deck. How is the fill attached to the gunwale Bob?

Bob how are you going to wire bond the tank? Are you just going from the fill to the tank, then back to the battery ground or are you going to a pad on the out side of the boat below the water line? Just wondering. I haven’t keep up on the reg’s. My 222ccp has a ground pad below the water line on the outside of the transum. The 19-6 doesn't have a gas gage. So I'm going to put one on this year. when I looked at the top of the tank. Their is no ground on  it  . So I'm going to put one on. :?:
