So pics from a couple days ago...

Quote
So the batt switch box went in today, secured from the backside so no visable fasteners...

Got just a smidge done inside the console, but it's a start...

And made a custom little main breaker/fuse holder enclosure...

And pics from yesterday...

A bit more fun today.  For us Florida boys, well, today was NOT a nice day to be working outside!

Have a full house right now, Dave brought his Scarab back to re-configure his electronics flat, add another Raymarine C80, and add Flo-Scan.  So poor little Miss D looks a little lost amongst her bigger sisters...

Installed her new Perko LED anchor light, think I got it centered...

As well as at "test" installation of the VHF antenna mount.  Don't have the antenna yet, but since I drilled an tapped rather than t/bolting, had to make sure my hole pattern was right...

By drilling and tapping, I won't be distracting from the looks of the t/top with nuts and washer on the underside of the crossmember.  That additional hole in the antenna mount is a little trick I learned long ago.  Rather than feed the antenna cable into the t/top frame off to the side and cover the feed with a clamshell, drill a hole through the base of the mount and feed into the frame that way.  Makes for a real clean install, although you need cobalt bits to drill through that mount...

Then played a little bit in the console, terminating some grounds and doing some initial battery switch cableing...

And got the proper plugs and elbows on the helm pump!!  First thing I did today!!

A cold, windy, raw kind of day, if tomorrow is like today, I am staying in and playing solitaire on the computer all day!!  But the Palmetto goes home at 10:00 in the morn, so I guess I will be out there airing up trailer tires... sAng_scream

First, thank you all for your friendship.

Bob, the work is beautiful, thanks for the pics.

Scott, yep, there will be door on the port side. I brought it down, but it was made too small by mistake, plus there was a better color starboard available....so a new one is being made.

Thanks :thumright:

Bob, excellent quality work, it looks great!
Thanks for posting the photos here, I think many  guys come here to see the progress.
Scott you must be getting so excited seeing her this close to completion.
I know how I felt just after my rewire and some upgrades.

Guys, I have started looking for a flight, I was thinking 4th April, that is a Thursday.
The flights from here are late in the day.
I would get in late Thursday pm and stay at the Hilton by the airport.
That would put me in Tampa Friday am.
I have ordered up a car as well, just tell me where to be.

I will sit back for the progress to continue and play it by ear.
I wont book till we are closer on a place and date for the launch.

PUT SPLIT LOOM IN HERE?!?!?!

Tell you what, lets go and wrap the Mona Lisa in plastic and see how that looks  , yeah maybe that's a stretch..  How about wrapping that blonde Heather or Hiedi?,  Scotty has vaguely referred to   :pirat:  in big old puffy grey or black blanket see how that looks  ..

I’m sorry Bob, it’s sacrilege to cover art..

Oh yeah, and that would be a No vote from me..  :salut:

On the other hand, if you need to wrap things up to keep heinousness from happening, prolong longevity, to keep the Feds from getting fussy, or it's what you want to do then I’ll be over here shutting up 8) ! Just a shame to cover up that nice work..

Spent the day away from boats, although I was surrounded by them...

5 Nays on the split loom, it's coming off.  Scott, you know when to listen to the brethren...
