Bob, your right about Bayport being less crowded, which is nice.  But, at the same time there's not much to do except be on the boat/fish all day. Nothing wrong with that, but thats our only option,

The reason I suggested Anclote was for all the options (in terms of things to do).  We could fish, hang out on the island and check everyones boat out, then have our pick of bars/restaurants for lunch or dinner by boat.  Also if the winds decide to howl, we could still cruise the river without getting beat up.

Hell, I will be there either way, just thinking aloud.

Skoot makes some good points regarding options particularly the one about getting on the island. Although his point about the wind and cruising the river is a wash because we could do the same at Bayport.

Scott,
I believe it's the age difference, my friend...

Besides, although you and I have "known" each other for several years, we haven't me "face to face".  That goes for many of us here.  Rather than try to cram a day or two's worth of "fun" into this, whereas the interaction between members can be somewhat limited due to the surroundings and "what's going on", I like to see a stable environment where we can move around, head out to the deck,   bullchit with Farley, mosey on over and see what Bruce is talking to Scott Dickson about...poke me to see if I'm still awake...that sort of thing.  Resturants and being on the boat all day, well, you just can't do that.

Not to mention, when you start to get tired?  Just crash, it's right there...

Our friend Frank Snell (seasnell products) came buy today to deliver Scotty's batt switch box, as well as to pick up his electronics box for a little "altering", and to get the ideas he needs to frame out the footrest.  Excellent dude, we bullchitted for quite some time, and his product is excellent!!  Easily the equal to a Teak Isle product at half the cost!

Here's Scott's batt switch box, Southco slam latch, beautiful part.  $123 and change whereas Teak Isle wanted $243 for a smaller box...

Now it was time for me to do something with it...

Tomorrow I get to cut the big hole it will fit into.  Once again, secured from the back side so no exposed fasteners.  And, yes Scott, it doesn't have the notch that we wanted to allow the door to close when an extension cord is plugged into the charger inlet, but I'll get that squared away... :thumright:

Scott,

No offense, but I'm hoping your launch schedule slips a little.  The last week of March is my boys' spring break, and we'll be heading over to the other coast to meet my month-old neice.  If schedule holds, know that I am there in spirit, and have a cold beer and hot wing for me!

Edit:  just re-read your last post...sounds like it will be after Easter?  Great!

I'd like to have her done by the end of March...definitely doable.  Actually, I'd like her done before that.  That's my goal.  So for all who wish to "gather", set aside that timeframe.  I'm getting in what I need parts-wise to REALLY get moving on her, Frank should have the parts he's working on done in 10 days (he asked me if I wanted them in a week!), so all is coming together.  Stay tuned!!
