Lights look great Bob, as well as the helm.  How about a pic of the finished LED cable routing inside those transom boxes, since that area will be exposed whenever someone lifts the lid.

Believe it or not Craig, I've given that a lot of thought as there is no coring in those boxes (they don't need it) to secure and wiring to, without going through the wall of the box.  So what I'm thinking is to epoxy in some ty-wrap mounts (you know the little squares that are SUPPOSED to stick to surfaces!!), run up the aft inboard corners, then under the lip and through the transom...

That's why I was asking.  I looked at those boxes and couldn't think of a good clean way to route the cables.  Your plan sounds like a good one though.

IF i where to run dual tach setup, i personally would do the second pic and put the fuel gauge between the tach's

similar setup on our sea ray, just a little more spread out for room to mount a small GPS

Oh Farley, you KNOW I have considered this!!!

As it stands, with no cables attached, of course the levers hit the electronics flat...but that is a LOOONNGGG throw, I'm thinking we'll probably lose about 2 inches of throw once the cables are hooked up.  Neutral on the MT-3 is at about 2:00 looking at the port lever from the side...so fwd is right about noon, from there, it is a long throw to hit the flat.  Way longer than any throw I know of, regardless of motor.

Should it be necessary, we can always go with a spacer (very commonly done) that is higher in the front than the back, effectively canting the binnacle aft and up.  But I don't think it's gonna be an issue...

AND, if I'm not mistaken, Teleflex makes shorter levers...

With room to spare for the SS-1000.  Not much room, but room to spare...

Will be finishing up the Scarab tomorrow and a bit on Friday for a Saturday pick up (and $$$), so I'll go easy on Miss D for the next couple days.  Don't want to traumatize her too much with this weight loss program...

Your right Bruce, that wheel IS sweet!  Has the rubber finger-grip insert, really feels comfortable.  Just on there temporarily as I don't need it in my way when cutting gauge holes...

I actually do take a good bit of time figuring out where this chit should be located.  Stand at the helm, sit, lean to port, lean to starboard, see if everything makes sense.  I mean, once you start cutting big holes, there's no turning back...

That is true Lewis!  Does have the nice Edson nut though...

Scott, I like Aaron's suggestion on the fuel gauge in between the tachs, balances out the gauge flat.  Whatcha think?
