i have finally sat down and figured out the best weekend for the gathering. it looks the fishing calendar,moon chart,and shrimp season have all fallen into place for a great weekend. if you can make it let me know so i can see about getting some good room rates,dock space(shore power if needed) and lots of seafood for a huge cajun good time.

so here it is JUNE 3,4,5 in Camanada bay just north of Grand Isle, LA. (seven miles of sand and sin)
RSVP ASAP so i can start getting some ideas for how many to plan for

NO airport is in Kenner.
'bout 1.5 hours from Red Stick best I can remember.

yea ur right it is right out side of nawlins it is also 45 min from were i live. its about an hour from grand isle.

Well SHUCKS!! I am working nights that weekend, I am off the weekend before and the weekend after.....Man I'm always working when something fun is going on.....

well as it sits right now im not sure if we r going to still have it at all. looks like obama is trying to make us all home bodies.
right now i have a very nice yard decoration. just happy to have enough gas to run her once a week to keep her running smooth.

well anyone wanting to fly in i have plenty of room on my boat for fishing trips. im sure the others dragging in will be more than happy to save a spot on the transom for a brother stuck on land. not to mention the fishing off the peir is great at night.

ok guys i have the best spot. it has rooms, cabins that sleep large groups all within walking distance of ur boat.

they r having a fishing rodeo that weekend im looking into finding out what entry fee is and prizes are.
these guys have everything you need from bait to food , from wet slips with power to rooms with kitchens.
its feet from the gulf and inside fishing. there are two peirs that at night have some of the nicest speck fishing you have ever seen.

Hey She'lt,

I'm gonna try and make it, I am a one leg pirate so, I am looking for a ramped hotel room there on the isle. I hope to bring my son with me who worked up the road a bit, in Venice for a few years. he swears by that area for line bustin action. he told me I better work on the push ups to build the arms up for the fightin those fish are gonna give.

im going to check into it first thing in the morn. alot of camps on the island have exterior elevators. they are very accommodating on grand isle. there has been plenty of times were i drank a few and someone put me in my bed, now thats accommodating.

ok guys im calling friday to see how many slots they have in the fishing rodeo and how many rooms they have left at bridgeside marina. would love to have a count of how many of you are thinking about coming down for the gathering.
went out to the isle to see how the fishing was (heard that the fishing was on)and it wasnt to bad. i have done alot better
with much bigger fish.

this should get you guys stirred up alil
