Wet bildge-1999 Aquasport 215 Explorer

My 1999 Aquasport always has a small amount of water that accumulates in the bildge...too low for the float switch to see, much less the pump to suck it up.  Its not rainwater, and I doubt its coming through the drain plug(doesnt leak when on a rack-dry stored).  Where else could it be coming through?  Is this common on these models?

Just Some Ideas
Leaky Floor Pie Plate allowing Wash Down/Rain Water/Wave Spray to get in.
Drain Hole in the Cuddy.
Leaky Through Hull connection
Leaky Pump Connection on Fish Box.
Fresh Water Pump/Piping leaking

At 12 years old now, I'm betting some of the outboard compartments are holding water, and, through the weep holes, it's eventually making its way back to the bilge.  The culprit is most likely leaky bow rail fittings.  If the leaks were coming from your portlights or your Bomar, you would see evidence in the cabin...

A little water?  I wouldn't worry about it...

That's exactly where my 91 leaks.
And it might surprise you just how much water comes through those rail mounts :o

I'll probably just ignore it then.  But I've always been curious...where exactly does it suck water in for the livewells and washdown?

Look under the hull, you'll see one of these...

You'll also see one of these threaded on top of that...

Exercise the handle regularly, and if the boat is left unattended in the water, close the valve! :thumright:

Could be an easy fix then... too much water for the railings, its not spray or rainwater, and the other through-hulls(speedo and transponder) are too far above the water line...  Thanks for the info!

Exzackerly. The stainless handle is imperative too. And lube regularly.
