To me the 240 was one of the hottest Aquasports ever made.

....you have a great boat!

Agreed.  That boat is just special.  I don't think I've ever seen a set-up like the 240.

I spotted one of these at a gas station in Florida.  Got a chance to talk to the guy, he was in a hurry to get it wet, but he said he loved it and wouldn't own a different boat.  I tried to turn him on to the site, but he "didn't have time for stuff like that".  Needless to say, I envied him.

Here's his rig-

Guys thanks for re-visiting this post. Jess, THANKS for the photos. And owner, whoever/wherever you are....you need to join the team.

That is one sweet ride. The original layout is superlative....and twin Merc's....icing on the cake.

From Jesse's photos:

Notice the cushioned coaming (backrest) behind the forward settees. Original vent on the port-side gunnel cap. And 3/4 to narrow full post behind the helm station. West coast look....Palm Beach style.

And here's a question for aficionados: Is the console design original?

Research, research ...

Bob, good post.

Comparing the outlines/heights....

Think the original per the pics is taller, and of different cross-section.

The example however is really nice, and a good fit...dammit...I want one.

Fishtank,

Nice work. Really like the teak louvered entry. Whoever did the joinerwork did a fine job.

Also appreciate the foredeck layout. No pretty boy, very functional.

And the deck add is nice....quality work, get a few more years out of her, without a tear-down....we can all appreciate that.

Nice new cushions too, finish etc... she's clean.

Enjoy your sweet 240 :thumright:

Hey Scott, I think those are the original teak doors.

Really cool boat! How's the floor?

thank you, floor is solid, the white panels are brand new and the middle deck area was resupported with foam and was still in good shape, after i remodel the aft, im going to rhino line the entire inside, so it will match and be even stronger... we have been out diving a few times already on her and she worked great
