new toy
« on: January 23, 2011, 09:13:18 PM »
I don't know what I'm going to do with it but it was so cheap I could not pass it up.  Maybe do some crappie and catfishing in lakes with HP restrictions.  Something for the grand kids to play with if nothing else.  Maybe I'll make a duck boat out of it.  I'll have to find out how stable it is.

1981 - 12' Gregor Boat Co. - all welded const.
rated for 3 people/20 HP

Anyone have a 9.9 HP collecting dust?

John if you get a motor soon we might have to get together and hit lake manatee.

Just had some of these for dinner last night

My old tin boat. 71 Sea Nymph, built a casting deck with pin mount in the front that had storage under for anchor and such. Made a removable deck that extended the front deck back over the second seat. This setup worked great! Lots of storage under the second deck where batteries resided and safety gear. With the 15 on there and two aboard it would still run 23 mph on the GPS.

This is the motor I was telling you about. 1957 Johnson CD-14, 5.5 HP twin cylinder, runs like a top. Its just not big enough for your hull. It has the pressure tank setup since they didn't have a fuel pump. If anyone else is interested in this motor PM me and we can talk.

Those two boats look almost identical.  Very cool rig Lewis  8)

I have that same motor sitting in my pop's garage, but it's orange and white.  It also runs good and strong

You have given me some ideas with that front deck.

I got a 1958 5.5 like thatr for Christmas in 58.  I knew a boat had to follow.  That engine brings back lots of good memories.  My father had a boat since he was a kid too and ruined me for life by giving me that boat and motor:)
