water in the shower

was down in the boat the other day and was looking at stuff. I went in the head and lifted the shower floor to see what was there and found water. Because of the low level of the shower drain I was told by a guy that the showers on boats this size ( AS290) that there is supposed to be a pump that drains it. I looked around but haven't seen anything, I guess I need to find out where the water came from as well since I haven't ever used the shower. Just wondering if anyone knows about the pump thing? Thanks for the help.

Should have what is known as a "shower sump." (pump)
