2002 yamaha 115 problem

I hope one of you guys can help me.
I have a 2002 115 yamaha and when the engine is warmed up and you turn the engine off, then go to re start, the buzzer goes off and it runs rough. If you push the key/choke in momentarily it clears up and the buzzer stops. This problem started when I started using the electric choke instead of the manual choke for initial starting. What does the choke have to do with the buzzer? Thanks,

Interesting, the only thing the choke and the alarm shares is the deadman switch, there could be a corelation between the two.  On a Yamaha of your age, one of the methods to test the audible alarm is to pop the deadman clip off and turn the key on, the buzzer should sound.  Check the deadman clip, make sure it's not worn a little and causing the buzzer to sound, but still allowing the engine to start, then when you push the key-for-choke your readjusting it's resting point.  If you have digital guages, is there a visual alarm on the Oil / Temp ??  Good luck

Thanks for replying. my deadman switch is physically seperate from my ignition switch. Someone told me maybe the choke had to be adjusted but that still doesnt explain the buzzer
