Circle Hooked,

6 Batteries= 3 dedicated for 36v trolling motor system, 1 dedicated starting and 2 dedicated for electronics

flkeyaqua,

Your 196 scoots along pretty well! Hows she handle? My cousin has an older 20 proline(70's i think) and when hes crusing and turns the wheel hard he spins out like a jet ski. Does this model boat do the same thing?

Its super easy to turn at low speeds upto I'd say high 20's low 30's but anything above that it takes some muscles to move the wheel. It does want to track to the port side I need to move that tab on the lower unit another degree or two.

Hopefully I'll let you all know by the end of the day   That is my plan for today, going down to the local shop and grab a dozen props or so, and see which one works the best...

are you guys talking in mph or knots? There is no way I would get 40-45 knots out of my 225 Explorer with a 225 Johnson. And even in mph, I can't get above 40 mph.

200 XF  200 Merc 2.5L  14.5 x 17 Aluminum 42 MPH WOT @ 5600 RPM  Boat has bottom paint and I'm still dialing in things so I'm sure a stainless prop will help a bit.

Anybody need a prop changed in 10 seconds, I can do it now... wanted to do a quick post, after 9 props, the winner is: Powertech, 15 X 15, 5600 RPM, 39 MPH WOT, good all around response and GPH burn.  Ken from Prop gods is sending me a 15 X 15 Inertia to try.. syas it might be faster?? we'll see if its $200 faster... 500 verses 300??
