Good news, bad news
« on: October 25, 2010, 04:20:23 PM »
Well, we are moving to California. Moving to the USA is a dream come true   My wife got a job there, the last 3 months were pretty stressing to say the least, didn't think it was so complicated, visa's are done(well almost) they're pre approve, can't get it until we enter the US, the house is sold, still need to sell our 3 vehicles but can't do that until we actually move which is the 27 Nov, need to find a house there and it will take 2 months to get a loan for it    But I'm really looking forward to it  :bounce:

The bad news :(  I have to sell my boat    the cheapest bid I got to ship it using Uship was $3600. the company that is moving us is charging $5400, and not having an address yet complicates things. So I just put an add for her

Hope she forgives me

I was wondering where you had been.
Heck, leave it there with someone you know, fly back when you get settled. Rent a truck one way and boat at every chance you get on the drive back to Cali. I myself am still trying to figure out how to pull the Airstream and the boat at the same time!

Really though, best of luck on your move and future here in the states!

Good luck with the move! Sorry to hear that you have to sell your boat. I hope when things get settled you'll have an opportunity to buy another Classic AS.

I thought about driving it down but man that's a long drive, Florida I would have, but California! Tried to convince my wife about renting a motor home and making it an adventure/exploring type of a trip but she prefers flying

I'm sure the move/adventure will be a great experience

I have checked for the past two months for an Aquasport for sell in that area with no luck  :(

Yeah Rick, but you almost did ;)

Canada is a nice place to live but we hate winter  :puker:

My wife job is in the city of Industry, so will find something around Chino Hills and closer

That's the thing about my boat, it's not just the boat but you guys too.

It's not sold yet so still hoping for a good ending

Marcq this may be a dumb idea but here goes,we get car haulers here from up north full of cars for people flying down for winter, and the reverse after winter, some of those people are from Canada, and my thought is I'm sure some people have there cars brought to California as well,i have a customer who has both his cars brought to Maine for the summer then back and it cost him a few hundred each way per car, trick is to find a almost full truck, the fuller it is the cheaper it is,so you might bee able to find a truck going that way,i have seen boats on those trucks before, just a crazy thought but who knows.
