I have an oppurtunity to purchase a minnkota trolling motor at a really good price and was wondering if a 62in shaft would even touch the water with how big my bow is??? Anyone ever seen a 24 proline with bow mounted trolling motor???

I am in the process of creating the templates for my transom. Im doing a full transom with the arc. I am thinking about 2 sheets of 3/4 20lbs Coosa board.....Should  1 1/2in be thick enough?????

That seems thin. What did the original measure?

thats all you need (2 sheets of 3/4), should be around 2" thick when you get all the glass on it...

Thats what I was thinking...2 sheets of 3/4 coosa it is!! Im not sure which exact motor I will get. I know it will be a min of a 175hp. It will be hanging on a porta bracket thats for sure. It is either get a used motor and have enough left over for a tower and controls or buy a new motor and have no tower....once you fish in a tower boat its hard to go back.....Im torn

Get the used motor, and get the tower!  I'm in complete agreement about fishing from an upper station...well, actually, it's hard to fish from up there, but you know what I mean! :thumleft:

Why not just buy one sheet of 11/2 inch coosa? If you have the cash use the bluewater 26.

Just a suggestion on the template and not sure if it would apply to your hull. I just made forms to pour the top part of the transom on my '70 22-2. I traced the bottom of the hull onto plywood, cut it out and flipped it over. Arc on transom mirrors hull.  Got that tip from Beeerman and his '69 22-2 is sweet.

That would work ok for a flatback but I don't think I would use the CCP deadrise for a cap curve

This boat was listed on Craigs List. I called on it and he had sold it. Said he did not have time to finish the rebuild.

Funds were hurting and I posted it 1 time and decided not to sell an hour after posting it. Easier to tell people its sold. Sorry steve...I still have the boat and the rebuild is going well.
