tower install info on a 22 flatback

I have a 69 22 flatback that I'm doing a total rebuild on.
I purchased a 1/2 tower for her and am trying to work out how far back to mount it.
When I drew out the layout for the boat I came up with a center point to use as a reference. I'm mounting the fuel tank (50 gal) forward and rigging her with a 21 inch set back porta bracket.She will also have a 40 gal livewell/ leaning post. I planned on mounting the tower back 11/2 feet back from the center of the boat but am concerned that the  boat will drain water back and handle well. I raised the floor 4 inches.
Is there a way to come up with the center of gravity and how far back I should mount the tower without putting her in the water.
Any info from anyone that has installed a tower on one of these boats would be much appreciated.
