Pensacola Fishin....
« on: September 19, 2010, 09:49:37 PM »
Just thought I'd toss a few pics of Saturday's outing.  Marine forecast said NE 15, 2-4 feet, so we were just going to hit the bay holes for a while then head over to the spoil island for some grillin and chillin, but when we got out there the gulf was FLAT, but we weren't loaded for offshore.  Hit a short hole wreck and caught some live bait, then head out a little bit to a another wreck, had my neighbor (Vicky) with us, who just moved here with her tracker bass boat and swears there is no fish... Anyway, after some continuous head shakin snapper action and two break offs of something BIG, she was having a blast.  But our light tackle was was taking a beating... 1st of October the special Snapper season opens for us, so we can keep them.  Cheers
Marc

Lewis, their waitin for you....

Pete
yamaha FMS is working great, just like my previous boat/motor.  Never jusmps around, solid reading at all times.  I think I'll try the Northstar on our pontoon boat, it has a regular carb'd johnson on it, so without the hi and low pumps and VST of the DFI system, maybe it will work... if not, there will be a great deal for someone on Craigslist   Naw, I'll probably just chuck it... I couldn't do that to someone else.
Thanks
Marc

Hopefully you will have better luck than I did with the Northstar.
