Very nice work Bob. I can't thank you enough. Just let me know when to come out so we can start her up together for the first time and bring her home. I am actually gonna be out near 54 on Thursday and would love to do it then if possible. If not, no big deal. Don't want to rush you.  Have a wonderful night.

Now that Alex's boat is done, on to the next project...

'93 Talon F22, needs a little work.  She'll be gutted, cleaned, and all new stuff going in her...

She'll be fun...

Neat boat. Can tell you guys are serious from the start.

Looks likes a re-vamped console going in.

Same clean job. Good work.

Rick,
Didn't mean to step on any toes here.  Obviously the Talon is not an AS, but she share's a Sarasota heritage with the later model Aquasports, as well as just being a pretty cool boat.  If you want, I'll start another thread, or even post on another forum, it's up to you.  I talked to the owner this evening, he told me he will never get rid of her, so she is going to be done right.  But it's your decision, and I support it 100%...

I ran a Talon F22 of similar vintage with a 250 Merc. You can get that boat into the mid/upper 70`s with some clever rigging and propeller set up. Not worth a hoot to pole however. Like trying to turn a train stuck on the tracks with those two sponsons in the water but a blast to drive at high speed; tunnel boat rule #1, stay off the "up" trim botton unless you like to change your shorts often!

The owner says he's never going to sell the boat, he loves it that much.  In the process of ordering all new Gaffrig Gauges, bezels, and binnacle right now...white face, blue bezels and shifter, throttle lever to have 2 switches in the knob, TNT and Jack plate...

I don't think there is a problem with what you're re-rigging (had the brother of the guy that created the first Talon in one of my classes at the local VoTech) - maybe rename the thread to something more generic - like Bob's re-rigging?
