Been working on the re-rigging of Alex Buck's 19?? 19-6/200, kinda fun to start from scratch, but a lot of issues that were not known to me when I took the job.  That being said, here's a few pics.  Engine is rigged, back end is done, console should be done tomorrow.  Moving the batts and switch to the console, as well as moved the stereo to the console, which left him some big old holes forward...

I love the pic in the link that shows a regular old butt connector. Wouldnt be so bad if the person who originally did that had used some liquid tape and shrink tubing

My Doctor buddy is a little slow, him and the missus in Marco this weekend.  Should be dropping the boat off Tuesday...

I want to re-rig his AS too if he goes for it.  And then he's got the 257 Mako that needs an entire rigging done...

Rob, looked, couldn't find.  Did a number of cross searches, no luck...

So, will all this fit and let me get the rigging trough cover installed?

Guess so...


But no one will ever pull anything through that trough if I don't cut the cover into 3 sections and screw them down individually...Guess I have to do it...

Doing my best!  Having some fun!  I don't like how the people who did Alex's sole did their work, pretty shoddy, and he knows it, but his rigging will be top notch.  Want to get the console installed tomorrow and wired...that's my fun!

Hey Seabob, I sold a 19'6 to Alex should be a 1974. It had a factory installed splash well only one i have seen with one, but i like a full transom. you Got it looking good.

That looks awesome.  Thank you for all your hard work!  I can't wait to pick it up and take her for a spin.  Since you got it looking so good, I think I am going to re-paint the entire inside now.  Thanks again for everything and to all others wondering if Bob should do your work, well I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Just plugging along.  Made a "management decision" on the trough cover...


Cut 5/8" off the forward end, the bead of caulk around the console flange will hide the seam and keep water out.  So the cover is still one piece AND removable...

Made a little progress today.  Alex could only get terminal strips, but our little "jumper" friends turn them into bus bars.  Yes, I know you can get the little metal jumpers, but I didn't feel like driving down to Worst, and paying their prices...


I like to separate the engine harness from the house stuff...


Need a #24 hose clamp, but the livewell drain came out well...


Wanted to do more, but this is what I'm looking at...

The helm is wired...

Batts are installed...with 6" of 2GA to spare...



The motor turns over like a top with that group 24.  Don't worry, the inline fuse holders will be labled...Helm Power, float switch, jack plate, and stereo memory...
