ok i just slapped a new deck in the "fannydunker " and need a way to fasten my console down it sits one inch off the deck because of my tank and custom t op any sugestions

Not sure what you are describing. Post some pics, It will make it easier for everyone to throw their two cents in!

Mine sits on what looks like a piece of vinyl molding. Then the console is screwed down into it through the flange. I don't think its original but it works. What I have seen, most hulls used a piece of teak.

manufacture appropriate width strips of 1" polypropylene or starboard material, countersink 1/4-20 flatheads with fender washers/nuts under the deck, then attach your console to the flange in the same fashion, going all the way through, (pretty much what Lew said) do you have a pie hole under the console to get your hands under the deck and work?  Or is there not enough room between the tank and the deck??
