It fits!

Checked it this morning, and the 11 gal. tank fit into the hatch, once I removed the entire hatch frame.  Pete, if you still are thinking of upgrading your tank, they sell these tanks for $4/gal at MCL.  This one was $44.

But since you're already set up, it might be easier for you to just add a 2nd tank (the 6-gal tank is only $24), and add some T's, to give you the extra capacity.

You know, if you're restoring an Aqua, MCL also has the big AQUASPORT decals, about 4' long, for the sides. Doubt it would have been standard on your model year but still pretty cool.

SUCCESS!

Got everything hooked up today, and it works well.  I opted to place the nozzle up front, where we usually gear up/down.  Got a little creative--  I cut a pie plate, then cut out the cover and placed the shower inside the pie cover!  Got some decent water pressure too.

My only issue is that the tank is slow to fill, because the hose has flattened somewhat below the deck. It's a 1.5"  flexible PVC hose, with the braided things interwoven to keep it open, but maybe I need a different type of hose?

Mike,
Is it backing up on you through the fill hose?  I other words, if you stick a hose in the fill and turn it on (normal city water pressure), does it shoot back at you?  You may have a vent issue...

Yes, it will shoot back if I turn the hose on full blast.  But the vent hose is fine.  I can actually feel the kink (not really a kink, but a flattened part) of the large 1.5" hose. So I might need to use a different type of hose....

Mike,
I attach about a 3 foot length of garden hose with the end cut off and slide it down the pipe and just let it fill.If you have it filling close to the opening some of the water will get into the vent and cause it to back up.Nice install,by the way, hope you enjoy it this summer.Bring along a bottle of body wash to shower up with.

So then with the water tank there in the hatian hatch you cant use the storage any more?
Is there another place to mount the water tank?

you can put the tank where ever you want.may be in the console, that would be easy to hook up.the hatian hatch is where they put it at the factory

That's true.  But the Haitian hatch on a 245 is pretty big, plus you have that center storage on the casting deck that is a lot bigger than Pete's 225...
