Ok, so Scott, Lewis and his son, and I got together tonight at Wrightsville Beach for a mini-Aquasport reunion.  And what did we talk about:

Guys, this cyber-friendship thing...its really cool. Lewis came in this afternoon with his great son Hunter...we had a blast. Lewis was exactly as I thought he would be....genuine, caring, animated, energetic....the life of the party, a people person. His kid is awesome, and he looks just like Lewis!

Lew, Hunter and I were to meet Cap'n John at the Oceanic Restaurant, oceanfront, WB. Nice place. The traffic was bad, the parking non-existent. We're late. I get there first. We're to meet Cap'n John at the bar.

Get in, head to the bar. Pass this tall guy in the hall. We nod. Go to the bar, ask the first single guy about my age...."Hi....are you John?"...he looks at me like I have some kind of communicable disease. Must not be John. So go to the next guy...."Hi, are you John"? Same look. He ain't John either.

So, by now, time for some research. Go back up to the hostess stand, and its chock-full of PYT's. That tall guy is there.
Make small talk with the PYT's, then look at him and ask...."Hi.....are you John?"

BINGO!!! We're on.

Exactly what I was thinking.... Smart, quick-witted, awesome dry humor. BIG smile, all the time. Probably what my wife wishes I could be.

Three great folks to have met tonight.....a terrific pleasure.
