Hey Kamikaze,
A friend of mine used to say,"Isn't the difference the same?" True here too. Aquasport played games with their boat sizes/models. The 19'6" Boat was called a 196 in some years and then became the 200 or the 20' striper. Same boat same size. In 1987 they made a 271 Osprey and called it 27' 11" but did not include the bow pulpit in the dimentions. Next year they called the same boat a 281 and included the bow pulpit and it was 28'11 and "called a 29 footer. I know because I owned one of each year. Your boat is 24'6" and hence the 246 or 250 depending on the year. I know that 1985 and 6 were called 250. Don't know about 1982. What do you wan't it to be. It obviously doesn't have the decals any more and if you're going to get some new ones made you can make it what ever you want. You might look on
www.boattraderonline.com and go to NADA boat values. Find AS and type in the year. It should show you one or the other but they aren't always 100% right. I've seen boats for a year that they don't have the boat listed in. That sentence doesn't make any sence but I hope you know what I mean. So, again, what would you like it to be. Anyway, it's a great boat. Some say that it's the driest, best riding that AS ever made.
