Boot stripe source
« on: June 16, 2010, 09:43:57 PM »
Real quick, does anybody have a good source for striping, just finished the hull, completely stripped the bottom paint and re-painted with Interlux VC Performance Epoxy (it's white) so I have a contrast from the hull at the waterline and the original gelcoat.  Looking for a 2-line boot stripe in teal, one maybe an inch or so, and the other like a 1/4" to break the two shades.  Thanks

Marc,
Give these guys a call, Falcon Enterprises in Pinellas Park.  They do our bootstripes.  Thought they'd have a real website, but here's a link...http://www.macraesbluebook.com/search/company.cfm?company=523656

Bob,
Something is not right, I called the number and got a disconnected message, I searched around the internet, but basically came up with the same thing you did, and all the phone numbers were the same as what you gave me. Dunno??? Thanks

Marc,
It's a good possibility, with the state of the boating business being the way it is, that they may have gone out of business.  Many companies that were around for a long time, unfortunately, have done just that...

Thanks Cap'n John, I was looking on ebay, I am trying to find something in the Teal Aqua green colors, she doesn't have any badging on her at all, so I was going to at least go with something close to the original AS green for a boot stripe.  Thanks for the link though... regards

Marine Connection Liquidators in Fort Pierce, FL had many rolls of aquasport boot stripes sitting on their shelf.
