Hot!
« on: June 12, 2010, 04:50:31 PM »
Weatherman just said the heat index is 108 degrees!     Might as well get back in the water - it's only 86.  Ah, that's better - now where's that cold beer - hon, can you toss me one from the cooler?  Got it - thanks!

89 is what I saw this morning.  We all know weathermen can't be trusted.  It was probably FOX News that said 91.  ;)

Probably cooled down some by then.

It thundered for hours this afternoon.  Not enough rain to completely wet the patio.  I can still see major lightning offshore but I guess it's not coming this way.

Had a major thunder-boomer here this morn at 6 a.m. .....Blessed with an inch or so of rain, which we really needed. Weatherman said we'd see 95 to 96, heat indexes of 104....never happened. Sticky hot, but not that bad here with the strong SW blowing on the water....Then, just now late, another bunch of boomers. Life is good.

Best all, gran

The sea breeze is just not going to let it happen here today.  I can see the tops of the thunderheads but can't even hear the thunder.   :(

We got a nice storm last night - rained for 20 minutes, a little wind and boomers but not bad, and temps dropped 10 degrees.  I'll take that!
