Aquasport gathering on Long Island

If there are any other Aquasport owners on this site from the Long Island area would you be interested in a gathering this summer? Maybe Tobay or Zaks Cove?

Gotta start somewhere and grow it.
Hint: Might want to do like us and have free hats, t-shirts, fishing gear and 6 different kinds of BEER delivered by the Hooter girls - that's what gets members to our gatherings.

That statement bears a few untruths....there are only five different kinds of beer, and the Hooter's Girls are actually female Florida Wildlife Officers.......

Bob, narrow down the timeframe to when you think you would like to do the gathering and then start a New Topic (or edit the one you started already) and create a "Poll" with 3 different dates and run it for a month prior to the dates. Let people choose one and the majority wins. At least you'll see 1) how many are in the area there and 2) if any are interested in getting together.  Based on our experience 4 or 5 hours on a Saturday is usually enough time for people to enjoy the Aquasport mood.  People with Explorers, XF and anyone else that wants an adverture can camp on their boats and extend the gathering.
Like I said, it takes a bit of work to get these gatherings going because most people don't like to mingle with people they don't know - hell, most Aquasport owners don't even know that there is a clan of us out there and when they see a group of Aquasports hanging out together, just cruise right by and ignore the group.
Give it a try.
