I recently purchased a 25' Aquasport from a friend, I'm not sure of the model.  Seems like a solid boat!  I'm currently repairing the electrical system and adding some accesories.  I hope to have it out in the water in a month or so.  All I have is a crappy cell phone picture of it for now, but I'll try and take some more later.  Howdy!

Welcome aboard Russ  :!:  :!:
Click on the Photo Gallery link on the aqua bar - there, when you scroll down, you will find a lot of literature on the Aquasport lines.  You may have to look in the "all models" link to see what type you have.  Pretty easy - cabin: Express Fisherman or Explorer, Family Fisherman has an area in front of the console that you can store stuff but it's not a cabin.  Open Boat: with casting deck up front - Osprey, no casting deck and high gunwales, maybe big storage box up front - CCP.  That will get you close.

I believe it's an Explorer - but I'm not sure....  It'll be a good one for the Pacific Ocean here sometime... .

Don't think Explorers were made back then - here's from around '80 http://www.classicaquasport.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/572

I forgot to mention - It's titled as a 1981 model year, so the 246XF could be it.

A bit better picture

The helm - A work in progress....

I bought this boat from a friend who pulled it up from Corpus Christi Texas.  It originally had twin 140 Johnsons on it.  Is the original owner here????

Boy, Hell! :P

Boat looks great! I haven't seen a tahitian tan XF before. It should ride nice with that motor on it too!

Oh and by the way I would not consider my ugly ass a Georgia peach by any means!

I've got most of my electronics installed and tested, but I still have a dual battery setup to install.  The PO told me that the batteries were originally installed near the helm in a compartment on the floor but now he has them installed in the starboard fish box in the back, along with the oil tank.  Should I move them?  Where were they from the factory?  I'd also like to install a washdown system, but I'm a little leery of drillling big holes in the hull.  Any comments?
