Skoot's RDS Fuel Tank
« on: April 06, 2010, 08:13:13 PM »
Gentlemen,
Some have been aware of skoot's fuel tank replacement, and some pitfalls that came about once it was delivered from RDS (at a great price!) due to the scratches and gouges on the skins.  Obviously, I had a lot to do with the whole transaction, and it was just as disconcerting to me as it was to skoot and the others watching/waiting the outcome.  Skoot told me he would be happy if RDS paid him to coal tar epoxy the tank, I got a hold of Ray Veal at RDS, and here is Ray's reply to me today:

IT’S A DONE DEAL. I WILL SEND SCOTT A CHECK. SORRY FOR THE TROUBLE.  RAY

So it would appear that not only is RDS "sorry" for shipping that tank, but also they know they f***** up, and they are not going to let that happen again.  They would like you guys business.

Just thought I'd get it out here for the members to pore over...

Good deal. :thumright:
Just to add this:

My dealings with Ray were as if we had known each other for years. He even help load the tank in my truck. The two trips over to Perry, a total of just over 200 miles were worth every cent of fuel. On those trips I also discovered the former Aqua dealer who was nice enough to give me his remaining Aqua catalogs.

And a tip-o-the-hat for ya too, Bob  :salut:
