Calusa Cast nets
« on: March 16, 2010, 11:50:36 PM »
Some of you my have read about my net problems, but I'll start over.

Two weeks ago Saturday while at the Tampa outdoor expo i bit the bullet and spent 2 bills on the Calusa 8ft 3/8 cast net I've been wanting, get home with it and find a hole in the net. :x

So i go to there web site (wasn't about to drive 120 miles round trip to take it back) send them an email, and here comes Friday and no response, one day short of a week  :x

So next i call them(don't know why i waited, just busy with life i guess) and i get an answering machine(here we go I'm telling myself)   so i leave a message and my info, ten minutes later they return my call, they tell me they never got the email.

They apologize up and down left and right, take my info again and say they will send another out as soon as possible, well today i got it and every thing is good.

i wasn't happy about no return email but $h-t happens, besides that part the customer service was great and just wanted to let all you guys know.

I'm glad to hear they made it right with you.  I have found that there are still a ton of companies that still don't get it where it concerns email customer service.  They put a "Contact Us" form on their web site and never follow through.  It's much easier on us to fire off an email than to sit around on hold forever.  I will say that Garmin, Teleflex Gauges, Bennett Marine, and a couple of others have been good to me with email response.  Rugged Shark shoes failed to respond to email, snail mail, or telephone calls.

i emailed a company down in ft lauderdale requesting more info and pics of a 200 hp yamaha they had for sale, 2 weeks, no response, they lost my business right off the bat! i even got a automated confirmation email saying they received my email and will get back shortly... right! haha if you call or email my work someone answers the phone by the 2nd ring and we reply to emails within 10 minutes (providing we are open)...

Yes they did and you i could tell by the packing they looked it over before they sent it.

I just had to tell the story, because any more, all you hear are horror stories about customer service, and this one turned out good in the end. :thumright:
