98' CC 245
« on: March 09, 2010, 12:50:09 PM »
I just got a 1998 Aquasport 245.Looking closely at the side I can see a faded Tournament Master insignia. Was this a decal? Can you get them? Also, what is the difference between an Osprey CC or a Tournament Master CC.Is it just options on the boat. Thanks in advance for help.

Mark,
As all here could have figured I'd tell you this, EXCELLENT PURCHASE!  I built her once she was decked.

The "Tournament Master" package included:

Hard T-Top w/Windscreen
Extra set of rod hoders in the gunnel caps
Transom Shower (tank below hatch in front of console)
Heavy-duty Aluminum Bow Rail
Trim Tabs (Bennetts)
Armstrong Dive Ladder
Battery switch(s)
Flip-Down Leaning Post
Gold Rub-rail Insert
Choice of Hull Colors (White, Forest Green, Navy, Fighting Lady Yellow)
Custom Hullside Graphics

I think that's it.  And do me a favor, take a pic of the helm wiring inside the console.  Thanks.

What does she have for power?  WE NEED PICS!!!

Was this boat suppose to be better than osprey or is it just the options. When you say transom shower,is that for rinseing yourself off after swimming? How about the decal on side. Will try to get pics. What was the cost for this boat in 98. I have an Evinrude Ocean Pro 225hp      Thanks Bob

Here's an estimated cost in 98 with no options. Go back one page and enter what you have and get a closer estimate.

Seabob4,

These are the pics you ask for.Don't know if that's the way they should be wired.

Seabob4,

Looking at the wiring, does Aquasport have a colored wiring code? If so,can you explain what color wire is for what.

Mark,
Thank you!  That was mine, but all my wiring has been basically torn apart.  See how the steering lines are secured with an Adel clamp?  Only I did that.

Everything used to be in split-loom and secured with Adels.  God, that pic almost makes me sick...

And I love the use of the wirenut... :x

Thanks again.  The boat looks in great shape...now you just have to clean her up, electrically that is! :thumright:

Bob, because have no clue what an Adel is, didn't find in the pics.  Guess its an insulated aluminum clamp? Thanks.

Scott, sorry, we used them on Scarabs, I brought them over to my wiring on Ospreys/Explorers.  Here's a better pic...

We used the SS versions, instead of aluminum.  Adel is a brand name, there are others out there.

Seabob4 & Circle Hook

If I knew what color was used for what,It would make it easier to trace things out and were they go. There's red, black, green, gray, blue, etc.
So,what would you recomend I do? Just tie wires together to make it neater. If you notice I have a 3rd battery there that's not even connected. 2 starters and 1 deep cycle. The other starter isn't connected. It has a 2 battery switch.
