OFF/1/BOTH/2 Battery Switch
« on: February 25, 2010, 07:06:52 PM »
Seems some of the guys over in Boston Whaler-land don't really understand how a dual battery switch works.  Wanted to see what you guys think.  In other words, does what I draw/say make sense?

Comments are welcome, especially the ones that point out what I did wrong!

PS... It's worked fine for the last fourteen years so ...
I'm stickin' with it unless someone can show me what I'm doing wrong.

For some reason, the guy who runs Whaler Central couldn't understand that if the house batt went dead, you can still power the float by switching to "ALL".  I mean, you can see the connection via the internal jumpers.  He also said you don't attach anything to batt 1 or 2 as that defeats the purpose of a "batt switch"...well, hey dumbass, you DON'T want to turn off your constant hot feeds...hence the name CONSTANT HOT!

Maybe that's why he owns a Whaler...

Haven't known to many Whaler owners, but my one friend who had one was a different breed for sure.

...and then there's NFG, which I had to explain the difference to the little Mexican cleaning girls back at Wellcraft.

He's just quick, and I was posting about how cold it is!

Maybe the new forum setup will include a chat room. We have a pretty good time on http://www.airforums.com on tuesday nights talking airstreams!
