Just messing around, hope this can give some owners a better picture of how their pumps are powered, where the grounds come from, and how the helm is fed...



BTW, if you have a Fresh Water System, the FW pump is wired exactly the same as the others.  All the pumps are circuit protected by the breakers at the helm, in case anybody's wondering.

SB4 do you know if there is a fuse for the fish box pump out pump and were i can find it.

I put a new pump in this weekend went from a 360 to a 600 but can't find a fuse,is it combined with the bilge pump?

I do what I do because I like to help people better understand what they have, how they can maintain it, and, most of all, how they can get more enjoyment out of it!  So take that emoticon and stick it over on THT, OK?

Anyway, your fishbox pump is on it's own breaker at the helm.  Have you checked for voltage on the breaker that's feeds the switch?  Was the 360GPH working before you swapped it out?  Let me know...

Sorry SeaBob just trying to give credit when i think it's due, guess a few beers and the new smilies i found don't mix,i will correct it.

I got the pump in Sunday evening turned it on once, it worked ,thats as far as i got with it.

The old pump was shot,it lasted along time,was original.

Had to have it in the shop first thing Mon to get the motor mounts and other things done ,didn't get it back yet.

The front and back pumps have a fuse so i wondered.

I'm the same way,the bilge pumps in the bow and stern, there is a fuse box by the battery, has one for a stereo too.

The fore and aft bilge fuses are for the float switches, the stereo fuse is for stereo memory. The fishbox pump SHOULD not have one...but you never know what the PO did...

Check your breaker at the helm for the fishbox...

Thanks Bob i didn't know these fuses were for the float switches,haven't had a reason to mess with them.

If i ever get my boat back from the shop i'm gonna check the breaker first thing,and i will let you know.

Bob i got the boat back today and checked the breaker ,it's a 5amp and the pump requires a 3 amp fuse, what would you recommend i do.Thanks

Scott,
Chances are it came like that from the factory.  I don't think a 3A breaker is a "normal" size, but I'm pretty sure 2.5A is.  Swap out the 5 for the 2.5.

And make sure you have power from the breaker to the switch, and from the switch to the pump feed...

Am I correct in assuming that this also applies to the Wellcraft on the production line, same period run?
