Looks like it's never been used  :thumleft:  Does it have a HIN that you can find?

Sure that this is a chinese imitation.  :D
It looks incredibly new, congratulations.
It's valid for a museum.

I am glad I am not the only one that thinks this thing is awesome. I saw it sitting in front of a guys house at Xmas for sale. I thought wow I would like to have that 9.9 kicker for my Starcraft. When I looked at the boat it was full of snow, never saw the deck. For 1 1/2 months I looked at it and said its the last thing, I need another boat. Then the dead of winter set in board to death I decide what the heck she wont care. (the wife). I brought it home , paid asking price as the guy lost his job, was getting divorce and I really could not see anything wrong with the boat. When the snow melted I pulled the plug and nothing came out????? Holly F! I think there must be a hole in the bottom I thought. Then I started looking around and realized there is no way for water to get under the deck. Went on line found Aquasport and walla. I understand now. I drug my wife out to the barn and showed off the boat, after wiping it down. She wasnt impressed. I was ecstatic with it thinking what a quality built boat to look so nice after 35 years.  As for the seat........you would have to be a star from Broke Back Mountain to use it and like it or gay rodeo star. It has no cushion. Does anyone make replacement cushions and back rests? I have the base and the cover.
The HIN is ASPB0998V751. Can the boats life be traced? Miller Time!

Wow!!!! polski2.....I'm a 170 owner as well...an '86 model and I thought I found a clean one but it doesn't compare to yours, beautiful boat man!  One thing that really has my attention is your original fiberglass seat since mine was missing when I bought the boat.  All I have is the original ss frame with the reversable backrest support which Capt. Bob was kind enough to inform me that it is standard issue for an '86.  Hmmm...what are your plans for the seat and just curious, what are the dimensions???  I would love to be able to put my hands on it.

By the way, just read polski2 remarks about Broke back mountain after I posted about being interested about the seat and just wanted to clear the air.......I've committed some sexually immoral acts with the opposite sex before but I've never had any desire to go to Broke back mountain.  And yes I would still love that seat in my boat if it would fit within my frame.

Have one custom made and the back rest would be pretty easy to make, not much to it. That seat is built like a tank, I have the same on mine and I just love it

I have the original seat base but the previous owner (PO) probably lost the top towing it so he replaced it with plywood and cushion.  After a couple years I cut off the metal guides for the backrest on the sides because I kept whacking my legs on them as I moved fore and aft past the base.  The backrest would always be in the way so I'm glad I don't have one on there.  Nice to see how the base was originally mounted though.  The PO used some big angle aluminum (like 4 inch) and mounted that to the floor and then mounted the base to it.

That's why I never did install them back on mine

Well going to have seat cushions made to fit original bases. Anyone want a cooler seat? How do you post a picture in a post? M.T!
