Shot him another e-mail will call tomorrow e-mail went like this;

6463 PEOPLE HAVE VIEWED  MY SIDE OF THE STORY ON JUST 6 SITES, PLUS WHO KNOWS HOW MANY ON RIP OFF REPORT .THIS WAS ONLY IN A FEW DAYS.

HOW MANY OF THESE PEOPLE WHERE POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS FOR YOU ??????????????????????

WAS IT REALLY NECESSARY FOR YOU TO **** ME OVER?????AND SEND ME THE ***** PARTS. BET YOU THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY WHEN YOU TOOK THE PARTS OFF MY MOTOR AND WAS IT FUNNY WHEN YOU SENT ME BROKEN PARTS AND OLD PARTS

WHAT A ****ING LAUGH YOU MUST BE HAVING NOW.......... LETS SEE HOW MUCH OF A JOKE THIS TURNS OUT TO BE IN THE MONTHS TO COME

Bob,
Do you honestly think they have any intention of making your situation "right"?  I mean, that would be great, but, in my opinion, the damage has been done, irrepairable damage.  That being said, I would imagine that they may just chalk you up to whatever, hope the furor dies down, then try to do business as usual again.

Unfortunately, on THT, these kind of things have "short lives", lasting until the next greatest thing comes along (Bertram hitting plastic buoy, Contender CS, etc.) and people who are not directly affected by outboardrebuild.com quickly move on.  The nature of the beast.  Probably a little bit of that here as well on Classic AS.  The casual observer checks out your thread, probably has a similar story regarding some other issue, yet their primary concern is, "How do I  get my port trim tab to work?".

So, what's the next step?  Lawsuit?  That would certainly put them in a bind, as they would have to hire an attorney (I doubt they have one), and they would have to appear in CA, which, economically, they probably can't afford.   Not to mention your initial costs for the filing and the motions.

Thoughts to ponder, my friend... :wink:

Bob C

You have done your duty, that is for certain...

You know, the reason I think this (Classic AS) is the best boating forum on the net is that the overall concept, which seems to hold true amongst all it's members/contributers, is one of truly helping others out, as well as DOING THE RIGHT THING!

I go on many forums each day, but the one I look forward to the most, as well as contributing, is right here...

My hat is off to RickK and the rest of the fine members who call Classic AS home!
, and one more!
