I want to wish all of our members a Happy New Year.

I want to especially thank the 'old guard' for making ClassicAquasport the place it is today - the ONLY place for Aquasport info in the GALAXY.  If it weren't for you guys making this a nice calm place to hang out, relax, lower your defenses and get good info, there would be 2 or more Aquasport sites out there.  We could let the site go the THT route and have 20 MODs banning people everyday or we could just leave it the way it is - I think you guys know the right answer.  Being the only MOD or Admin person I don't remember having to ban anyone    We have a niche going on here since we are purely Aquasport people (we even allow some Mako people in because we're nice   ).  Some of our members that used to have an Aquasport and sold it for some reason still visit here - go figure.

As for the new forum software and the photo gallery - I think it is the photo gallery that is holding things up.  I think it is fubar'd and the IT people don't want to risk losing all the photo links in all the posts.  It may come to us just biting the bullet and starting over.  I have seen the "new" ClassicAquasport site and it looks fresh and up-to-date. We may have to go back into the older valuable threads and re-link the photos to the new photo gallery, wherever that may end up.  It will take some work on our part individually if we decide to go that route but at least we can cut out the middle-man - places like photobucket and such.  On the other hand, some members never uploaded pics to this site and always used a photo hosting site - so their posts will remain unchanged unless they let their acct go dormant like we're starting to see on some members posts.

Anyway - have a safe, smart, New Year and be alive tomorrow to tell about it.  I know I will.

Here's a big Happy new year and a big thanks to Rick for the great job he does as the administrator of this great website . Classic Aquasport has the best info and such a great group of members that contribute so that neophyte and experienced boat owners both can benefit from the posts . The photo issue will hopefully be resolved ASAP and we should have more photos to see and post . Keep up the good work  Rick and Happy new year to all .
