looking at buying 225 or 250 explorer specs? info?

I just bought the 225 Ex same year and set up- minus a gps. I wonder if that 250 yama is just a tad under powered for the 250 Ex? Especially going 100 miles out!

well i took a look at the boat today, and it was def fished hard.  Five or six spider cracks on the hull,  stress cracks everywhere and even some laminate separation on the fix box cover. Thought i was looking at a bayliner! This boat just had way too much ware and repairs for me. When you look at pics of these boats online, its way different then in person and the sellers wont even tell you about them, they think their boats are perfect. I do a bit of fishing but always carefull about droping fish weights, 4 fenders out for docking, and wash downs  every single time.
I also think im going to go for a 250 with a hardtop. The extra deck room is good for fishing plus mabye a table and some chairs for hanging out.  If anyone has a 250 for sell or see one for under 20k let me know!!

okay guys, just put a deposit on a 2005 225 aquasport explore, it has a 200 hp yamaha 4 stroke with 65 hours on it, hard top, extremely clean for 19800 the orginal price was 26500 i think i got a good deal. But its missing fresh water shower, and sink. is it hard to install?  Im having the motor checked out next week hoping everything is fine.

Option that year but you probably can install. I'm assuming you mean the shower located at the transom.

Congrats,hope every things checks out,you should get many years of enjoyment.

With the 4 stroke, no oil tank,you should have plenty of room in the transom for
 a water tank.

You'll like her - as for sink, is there just a hole where it used to be?

Not sure about that year for insulated boxes - I just use a 120qt cooler.
