a US Customs and Border Patrol boat came into my work last thursday, it was running quad 300XS merc's. the hull was similar to a 36 dakota/sonic but slightly wider, heres a pic of the exact same boat but with different merc's http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b192/ ... CN2385.jpg

saw a customs boat by my moms work a few months ago heading to the Raytheon plant in st. pete/pinellas park. that thing was like out of a movie! it was on a 50 ft flatbed semi trailer, guessing 45-48 ft long, and had triple arneson surface drives, battleship gray

I was in rain and traffic on I75 near Tampa Tuesday so I did not get a good look but there was a RHIB with a pilot house with four Mercs on a flat bed trailer going the other way.  I have seen their boats playing in the Intracoastal near Vilano Inlet at St. Augustine.  They pull them with really nice black F-650s.

I saw an amazing looking boat on a trailer some time back.  A few days later I saw something on the new about a local small company that won a big government contract to build customs and home land security offshore boats.  Turns out the boat I saw was one of the prototypes that is being built in St Pete / Pinellas Park area.  This looks like one of those boats.
