Cummins.  I like that it gives me 15mpg fully loaded with the boat in tow.  Overall average mpg = 18.  Highway running bob-tail 20 mpg.  Plus I help out hauling bigger trailers as long as they have brakes.  Gotta have a Cummins if you're really going to pull a load.

my dads hemi gets about 16 on the highway not towing, ive had it up to 21. but towing our atv trailer it gets 13/14 highway and about 10 towing our SR

I get around 11 - 12 mpg from my Yukon when I'm not towing.  I was getting 14mpg when I bought it new, but once I threw some 20" rims on it, they killed the mpg.  Fortunately I drive a golf cart for most of my daily needs.  Keeps the gas bill managable.

I tow my 22-2 CCP with a 2004 Dodge Durango Hemi.  It has the factory HD/towing package and AirLift bags in the rear springs (400 lbs. tongue weight).  I get 19-20 MPG at 70+ on the highway and about 12-13 MPG towing.  

Note to all regarding towing mileage:  Make sure your tire pressures on both the tow vehicle and the trailer are at the top pressure rating on the tire!  For me, that's 36 for the truck, and 55 for the trailer.  Low tire pressure makes a BIG difference in tow mileage.

Along these same lines I am looking at stepping up to the 25' CCP.  I have a Tahoe with the 5.3l V8.  Could I pull a 25' CCP with this vehicle?  Just wanted to see who has the 25 footer and what do they tow it with?

I'm selling my 2002 Dakota SLT, 4x4, towing gear/tow package, 4.7 V8, etc. etc. It's just not enough to pull my 245 Explorer. My neighbor is selling me his lightly used (88,000 miles) 1998 F250 Lariat with air shocks. Should pull like a dream now. On a related note, do you guys think I should tie down the back of the boat to the trailer? The thing's so darn heavy, I doubt it moves much but you never know...

Having a strap on the back is the law I think - I don't do it on my 230 either.
