Seabob, or Rickk

Your advice is well taken. The boat leans to starboard even with the outboard turned and tilted up to port. I got the boat in Sept- and never loaded it up with gear. I did set up the boat and stored my limited gear on port side cabin and cockpit- and still no difference. The ass end is out odf the water- very bow heavy. I found no water in the bolgs or transom area either.

I wonder if this is simply normal, as you've suggested, and  should just go with the 150lbs of ballast.  BTW- if you look at my pics you'll the disparity in water level when looking at the water line.

On my 98 225 exp I have three batteries in the back .I removed the oil tank and mix the gas and oil in main tank I then reran the wash down pipe to where the oil fill was. This was done because I dont want to run out of oil because of a brain fart. As far as the third battery goes I run my stero bait pumps underwater light and deck lights off of it ,do not want to run the chance of not having a good battery when 40-70 miles offshore.
Never noticed if the boat was leaning one way or the other, but I am close to 300lbs so when I get on any boat it tends to lean:)

The Explorers are bow heavy - I guess the helm area/cabin roof is pretty heavy.  I don't see an alarming amount of tilt in the pics and if it doesn't run weird, just ignore it and enjoy the boat instead.  :D

Yes, I cannot wait until spring. Just purchased a Shimano Tekota 500- Soujourn rod and a Shimano Calcutta 400b with a Saragosa rod. I'm a novice/noobie to fishing but I should be looking the part at least. I cant wait until the guy in his 1962 19ft CC laughs at me trying to fish while pulling up the big fish.

I guess your boat does not have Bennett Trim Tabs....

They will fix any kind of ride problem  & make your boat run perfectly
in any type of weighting conditions.

Your boat runs a bit different all the time:For Example,
# of People on board
Amount of gear on board
Heading out into the Ocean swell with full Fuel tanks
Coming In with the swell and empty fuel tanks

Just install a good trim system!

I have Bennett trim tabs. My concern is basically while just floating in the calm water-the boat has a noticable lean to starboard. Rickk and Seabob also explained how under way the trim tabs will help. Again- I am just surprised the boat, without any gear, leans.
