Sorry fellas the boat went so fast to the mechanic that I didn't even get a chance to take pics. I was installing and water tighting the hatches and doing little odds and ends. I do have some interesting information from Ken from Propgods.com We all thought that a 17 pitch was way to small of a pitch, but this is what ken had to say. Note: I also explained to him my entire boat, set up, weight of the boat, etc etc...

17 pitch is probably about right.
I would expect you to run mid 40's for speed with the extra weight and tower and everything.

I'd give the Solas a run just to see what happens, but my first choice would be the Revolution 4 17 pitch.

Its a 4 blade that has great traction. It will allow you to really use that porta bracket the way you want too. You'll be able to jack it up very high without the prop breaking loose.
Getting up in shallow water, and great turning will be there too.

There are other props that might be faster, but for turning/acceleration/shallow water capabilitys, etc... You'll really like the Rev 4.

If you get it and decide you want a differnet pitch or style, you can swap out for $35
But I think you'll like it pretty well.

Very nice guy to work with and honest. Hard to come by these day!

But since you have that Solas prop already, I'd still give it a run just for kicks.

Awesome!  Can't wait to hear about how the maiden voyage goes.  I have fished out of that boat many a time!  Check out this action photo from the bow of your boat back in 1996.

Blue, do tell more. You've been in this actual boat? I'd love to hear the history of the boat. Was it a guide boat??

PM sent....I don't believe my buddy was guiding at that time, I believe that was after he sold the 19-6 and got a bigger boat.  That photo of the tarpon was taken at Boca Grande pass.  I'm fighting the fish, he is trying to leader the fish and our other buddy is driving and shooting photos.  I could not ask for a better action shot, I actually have the photo blown up and framed.  Any updates on yours?

nutts, the "Green Sardine" was a fish catching machine!  Check out this photo, I'm sure you will recognize the transom.

Blue,

Thanks for the info! Just saw your PM, sorry I always miss those! The boat is currently at the shop getting all the hydrolic steering lines pressurized, new zincs, impeller, fuel lines, engine cowl latch fixed, analog tachs and fuel gauge installed, trolling motors programmed, key start wired up top and bottom, throttles and shift cables ran, etc. Basically when I get it back it should be ready to go, although I need to paint the cowl still. Time got away from me! That will be a a quick thing anyhow, its already sanded and ready for paint. Parts are ordered and they are already starting to work on the boat one the stuff that doesn't require parts. I would think/hope a couple weeks for the test run! Did you show your buddy the thread? If so, whats he think?

Nice catch! And yes I do recognize that transom, it was crazy trying to figure out how they did it. Tell your buddy nice work on the 2 x 4's stretching across, they were still dry as a bone and hard as hell to get out haha

nutts, I did send him a link to the thread.  I spoke to him a few days later and he did look at the link, but he did not realize that the thread was 22 pages long.  He said he would revisit when he gets some free time.  I'll let him know about the 2 x 4. Can't wait to hear how she runs as well as see some action photos.  I bet he will be interested in seeing those photos.  Was I correct in assuming that you bought the boat from Steve?  I wasn't sure if he sold it to someone else before you picked up.

Hey guys. Finally on the water!! Down in the keys fishing and getting some bugs. The tower is the best for looking for lobster holes, you can see everything from up there. Boat runs 52.8 mph WOT on GPS. Its a super quick boat and hops up on plane instantly. The boat to everyones surprise rides like a dream even in heavy chop. I think because its so heavy(due to my overbuild), it just cuts through the waves like butter. I will for sure be getting more pics of the boat to post. Thanks to everyone for the help throughout my build.

Really looks nice. Its a wonderful feeling to know the boat you are running was redone with your own hands.
