86 Aquasport spec
« on: October 07, 2009, 04:54:34 PM »
I just purchased a 1986 20 foot Osprey, and have not had much luck finding a spec sheet.
I think that it came with a 50 gallon gas tank, but could someone confirm that. Thanks

My '86 Osprey 200 has a 57 or a 59 gallon tank.  I just had a new one built exactly the same as the one that was in there.

At least that's what the label says.

I'm not suprised.
The spec sheet for 210 WAC is 100 gal. but the label clearly shows it at 105 gal.
RDS (built my replacement) who built tanks for Aquasports made in Sarasota, dug through their files and came up with a tank listed at 110 gal. :o
I had that tank cut in half so now I'm carrying 55 gal. on board.
I would guess that, depending on the tank manufacturer used at the boat build time, it could vary from the published spec.

RDS built mine as well.  Nice tank at a very reasonable price.
