I got a 225 yamaha on trade from a friend and was wondering if my 19'6 would handle it. It cuurently has a 200 Saltwater series yamaha on it and is fine. But reason I wanna repower is because my 200 is blown and the new 225 I just got is completely rebuilt and has a 3 year warranty on it. My buddy said its the same weight as my 200 now and thinks it will handle it . My transom has been redone this year. Boat runs about 54mph WOT with the 200. So give me your opinions on it. The motor is a 1996 carburerated V-6 225 yamaha saltwater series with a 25in shaft.
