The transom almost looks like it has a masonite outer in the pics  :cyclops:
So what am I looking at on the outside of the transom?  Are the pics of you laying in a new outer fiberglass skin? or is this the transom that you laminated together?  Like I said, it looks like masonite. Maybe the marine plywood doesn't have much grain.
What's the next step? Lay glass across the entire back outside and down the sides of the hull where it's ground down?

yes its the one i laminated and bagged...
im not sure why itlooks like that, its 2 layers of biax over the ply so you cant really see the grain, and i think the sun being on it in the pic washes itout or something. next itll get glassed on the outside all the way around just like the inside, possibly a whole nother layer across the back after, keep some fairing work down possibly...

nice gash in the bottom of the hull, underneath the center stringer. must be where the gallon of water inside the stringer came frm

layed some 1708 in the chines, and pulled evrything else out (almost by hand).
got a line on some corecell to start making stringers and bulkheads. now to get intimate with my grinder...

^just curious as to what these holes are for? not the windows, but the small hole to the left and forward of it, theres 4 of em spaced evenly apart right in front of the windows...

more progress: full layer of glass in the hull, overlapped in the keel, extending up past where the floor is going to be, and 3 layers to plug up the windows. 1" 5# corecell stringers cut out and ready to get glued and glassed in. also built a console. starting to look like something now...
